# Barbara Feliciano of Ohatchee High School
Congratulations to Barbara Feliciano, TCI’s Vocational Student of the Month.
Barbara is 18 years old and is a senior at Ohatchee High School. She excels in her academic studies and extracurricular activities and has been involved in the News Team, Diamond Dolls, National Honor Society, National Technical Honors Society, and as an Ambassador for the Calhoun County Career Academy. She is also involved in the track team, basketball, FFA, FBCLA, and the Book Club.
In her spare time, she enjoys trying different foods from different cultures, playing basketball, running track, and doing other outdoor activities.
Her future plans include attending either Troy University or Jacksonville State University to start her nursing journey, and then transferring to UAB to finish Nursing School.
Barbara's career goals include joining the Air Force to help jump start her medical career. She hopes to become a travel nurse and get her practitioner’s license. Her plan is to one day go to her hometown in Guatemala and create a clinic to help give medical assistance to those in need.
We honor Barbara for outstanding achievement and look forward to seeing her pursue her goals.
TCI desires to support and encourage high school seniors who plan to pursue an associate degree or a certification in a trade/vocational field. With this in mind, we will be offering two scholarships to be awarded in May of each school year. In honor of TCI's Founder, the Kenneth Bice Vocational Scholarship will be awarded to well deserving students.
Each month a senior student enrolled in their local high school vocational/trade program will be selected to be recognized as the TCI Student of the Month. At the end of the school year, two students will be selected to receive a scholarship to apply to their educational cost as they further their education in their chosen field.
